Coaching Staff
Siarra Hoover (Head Coach): I graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Psychology, where I also swam all four years. I started swimming at age 9. I am now a middle school intervention specialist and Licking Valley Middle School. I coach high school track and cross country at Licking Valley HS, as well as swimming at Granville HS. I'm really looking forward to the season and can't wait to meet everyone!
Ella Schirtzinger (Asst. Head Coach): I'm going into my junior year at the University of Evansville and have been swimming since I was 8 years old. Swimming has always been a huge part of my life, and I love being able to continue the sport in college while also helping others grow their love for it too. This past year I coached a high school swim team, which was such a rewarding experience and made me enjoy the sport even more. I'm passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment, and I love helping swimmers build confidence both in and out of the pool. I'm so excited for this season!
Luke Casebolt (Asst. Coach): I am a 3-year Granville HS swim team member. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and playing pickleball. I will be working my 3rd summer at the Heath City Water Park, and I'm excited to coach this season.
Nick Casebolt (Asst. Coach): I will be a senior at Granville HS after this summer. This will be my second year coaching for the Blue Waves, and I am looking forward to a great season!
Lydia Sturgeon (Asst. Coach): I graduated from Granville HS last year and just finished up my freshman year at the University of Richmond. I have been swimming since I was 4 on a summer league team, and I now compete at the collegiate level with the Spiders. I have spent 3 summers coaching and am so excited to get back into it! I have loved getting to know the kids and helping them have fun with the sport.
Malana Sturgeon (Asst. Coach): I graduated from GHS in 2025 and will be a sophomore at Heidelberg University, where I am pursuing a major in Health Science on the Athletic Training track and a minor in Coaching. I am also on the women's soccer team! I started swimming at about age 5 and continued throughout high school. This will be my fifth season coaching, and I'm so excited to continue helping swimmers build their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of swimming!
Jacob Teter (Asst. Coach): I'm originally from Granville, but I just finished my Bachelor's degree at Michigan State University, where I competed in triathlon for 3 years. I plan to begin law school at The Ohio State University. I've always loved swimming and have had a great time coaching for both Moundbuilders Country Club and Pau Hana Swim Team over the past 5 years. My favorite stroke is breaststroke, and my favorite part of coaching is seeing season-long improvements in athletes. I look forward to meeting you all this summer!
