Swimmer Expectations
We want summer swim team to be a fun experience for our swimmers, one that will foster friendships and bring back happy memories for years to come. With that in mind, please find below the expectations for our Blue Waves:
BE SAFE AND RESPECTFUL. Blue Waves are expected to try their best and follow all safety guidelines set forth by the pool rules and coaching or guarding staff. Swimmers may be asked to sit out for a time by the coaches if need be. More than likely, we will communicate with your swimmer to find out what's going on and move on from there. Please let the coaches handle practice. They will speak to a parent only if it is necessary.
BE A GOOD SPORT. Most swimmers do not take first place. This is a summer competitive AND learn-to-swim league, so be proud of yourself and the progress you're making! Blue Waves focus on sportsmanlike conduct and personal time drops and accomplishments.
BE A GOOD TEAMMATE. You know how good it feels when people cheer for you, so be a Blue Wave who cheers on other swimmers--we cheer for everyone!
